Priva and Yossi
Well I guess it is about time I put up the fairy tail of how Yossi
and I met. *clears throat* Well.....I had just gotten back from
seminary and was thinking of finding my bashert. My parents were not
much of a big help so I got advice from some close friends and they
told me all about Frumster.com. I thought about it and did not see the
harm in putting up a profile, so I did. I was on for about a month and
did not see much in my area of Chicago. I decided I would search a
little further out. I was searching through the men who glanced and my
profile and came across this one guy. Something you should know....I am
a tall girl and did specify for a guy 6ft or taller. So I found Yossi
and did not understand why he did not find an interest in me. So I
decided I am going to find out.
I remembered I had a guy find me through AIM by thinking my
profile name may be my AIM and he was right. So I decided to do the
same with Yossi. I took my chance and messaged him on his AIM and lucky
me....it was him b'h! I told him who I was and how I got a hold of him
and he was at work so it was not easy for him to speak with me. I
eventually got the guts to ask why he was not interested or if he was
why he didn't pursue me. He responded with "I thought you were stuck
up" I asked him why he thought that he responded with "because you are
searching for a guy who is 6ft and over". I told him "did you not look
to see my height?" We both ended up laughing about it and we spoke on the phone that night.
We ended up speaking for a full week non stop. We decided we
should meet up so I thought why not have him come to Chicago and meet
my family and get some advice from them (even though I knew I would
marry this man). Yossi flew out Friday before Shabbos and stayed at a
Friends house not to far away from my drilling father. lol! To make it
short my family loved Yossi and right after Shabbos I flew back to NY
with him to meet his parents. I went home a few days later and 1 month
later he purposed to me on October 3rd during Sukkot. We got married
March 20, 2005. Now we are married for 4 years and we have a beautiful
3 year old son Eliyahu Tzvi. I am so thankful to Frumster for the
availability they gave me and my husband to find each other. Thank You
