Shmuel and Rivka

After trying several different websites, and finding that I was more observant than what most Jewish singles on the internet were looking for, I was very happy to find Frumster!

One thing I liked about the site was that I could be very specific about who I
was, and what I was looking for.

My long and complicated list of requirements, including a leaning towards Hassidus, also being bal teshuvah, the ability to relocate, and the eventuality of making Aliyah were fulfilled by only one member of Frumster.

Given my specifics, my search only yielded one match! - and with no picture posted as well. However, I sent this person my introduction to. It was short, to the point, brief, and not very humorous!

On the other end of the computer was Shmuel...living in Svat, single for seven years...his friends convinced him to post on Frumster. After a few telling e-mails back and forth, Shmuel and I exchanged references and went through traditional "shidduchim" channels at that point. Once our references all checked out, we had our first phone call. It was
curious to Shmuel that I had not asked for a picture, but my priority was to find a mensch, and what he looked like was pretty far down on my list of priorities.

He did send me a picture, but I have to admit, when I met him in person, he was much nicer looking than his picture! He claims the same thing about me as well. Pictures can be very misleading!

We spent two months on MSN, and on the phone. Shmuel made arrangements to come to Vancouver just after Succoth, and we had three dates, got engaged, and got married six weeks later. Well, that was two months ago, and we are very happy! We thank Ha Kodesh Borech Hu for bringing us together and thank Frumster for the role that they played in our happiness!
