It wasn't until we both discovered Frumster.com on our own that we found each other.

After about a year of online dating, I was almost discouraged to use another dot com as an avenue to utilize. Traditional dating and blind dating had seemed to be sometimes both embarrassing and frustrating - especially given some of the reasons why the 'first date' didn't often work out. It could be as silly as the color of the other person's hair or socks.

However, generally there were many religious factors involved as well. I grew up less orthodox than Rachel and was at a time in my life where I wanted more out of religion and wanted to become more orthodox. It turned out fortunate, as we both met at similar 'religious-life-growth stages.'

I believe it was the very pertinent questions Frumster asked in the profile registration that made the site stand out for me.

Many other Jewish dating sites did not ask compelling enough questions that you could provide a comprehensive (if but introductory) picture of a member's profile. For instance -if they really cared enough about their Judaism, their commitment etc.

Just because you're Jewish of course does not necessarily mean that you always eat kosher or place a priority on religious growth. Important issues like these were always on the back of my mind.

I was driven to see how my online orthodox dating experience would be - I was pleasantly surprised.

It naturally seemed a good idea to research Web sites, where I could find a good match to my profile.

At Frumster I found Rachelâs profile. I could immediately deduce that we had so much in common, and we had both posted photos of ourselves. I immediately began communicating with her via e-mail directly through the Frumster system.

My parents and neighbors were very encouraging at all times. Everything meaningful in life is worth a shot if it looks like it leads to the best!
